Jolanta Łopusiewicz-Redo demonstrates legal expertise with a dedication to international cooperation and human rights. After completing her law studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland, she specialised in foreign trade law. This academic foundation would later shape her nuanced approach to legal and humanitarian issues on a global scale.

Jolanta Redo’s legal career combined her Law studies, earning her Master of Law in 1973, followed by her judicial apprenticeship and passing the judicial examination with honours. Her subsequent bar apprenticeship led to her appointment as a barrister in 1979, registered with the Supreme Bar Council of Poland, where she distinguished herself by achieving the best result in the proficiency examination for the District Bar Association in Toruń.

Her legal practice soon expanded beyond national borders. In 1986, she became the Permanent Representative of the Asia Crime Prevention Foundation (ACPF) to the United Nations Office at Geneva. From 1999 to 2002, she advanced her mission as the Foundation’s representative for Central Asian countries, living in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. For over four decades, she engaged deeply with the United Nations system, representing the ACPF at frequent sessions of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, and at major conferences of the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme.

Her service extended beyond boardrooms and policy forums. From 2002 to 2018, she volunteered in Austria to support mentally disturbed prison inmates—work honoured with an award from the Austrian Minister of Justice. This dedication to vulnerable groups reflects her academic interests: she has published several works on trade law, extradition, and crime prevention, showing her commitment to linking scholarship with practical efforts.

Fluent in Polish, English, Russian, and German—with fluency in Spanish and basic knowledge of Chinese—Jolanta Łopusiewicz-Redo embodies an internationalist spirit, combining legal expertise with compassion and a belief in cross-cultural dialogue. Married and mother of one son, she continues to be recognised for a career dedicated to promoting human dignity and justice across borders.
